Stocktaking to improve stock ordering process

Allfast Solutions, New Zealand is a leading supplier of quality industrial fasteners.

Since implementation everyone within the business has been very happy with The RIC Group’s WMS solution and are using the WMS to stocktake on a daily basis. This has helped reduce the stock levels being carried and help improve the stock ordering process. The next phase of the project will be using it for the picking of sales orders.

A key advantage of our WMS is using Power BI or other BI software for the real-time analytics and also our WMS has a real-time audit. This ensures all reporting and auditing is in real time. There is no waiting for syncs or for an 'app' to send the latest data. Everything is real-time including the analytics.

Another advantage of using a real-time WMS is you can see the current status of every line of orders being picked, receipting, put-away or transferred at that time. For example in the picking audit of our WMS you are looking at real time data of lines being picked. Therefore you are seeing real-time quantities being picked, which bin location the goods are being taking from, which lot (batch) numbers or serial numbers are being picked.
