Wave Picking for Acumatica and Sage 300c

SBO4 PDA Warehouse Management Solution gets smarter with the feature of Wave Picking. Warehouse operations can now release multiple sales orders into one pick to create complete efficiency. Using The RIC Group's Pick Pack Manager allows the user to select multiple orders to create a wave. This feature also allows the user to select multiple orders from different customers.

Once the wave is selected, the warehouse user will be able to retrieve the Pick ID onto the PDA device and complete picking the items as normal. However, when picking the items the user is picking the items for all the sales orders in the wave in Bin Location order.

When the pick is complete and all the items are brought back to the packing area, the packer can then retrieve each pick individually to complete the packing process. SBO4 PDA allows the picker and packer to be separate functions, which allows the business to select whether they will use different people for each operation, or can use the same person to do both with the WMS software guiding the best practice.

The user completes the pack for the sales order, and the shipment document will be created automatically. If any EDI or Freight labels need printing this is done as well.

This feature is available for all Acumatica, Sage 300 and MYOB Advanced SBO4 PDA customers. Note that Wave Picking already exists in SAP Business One Pick Pack Manager.

The below screen show details that Pick ID 60 has been created which is a wave and has two sales orders released, 486 and 487.

The RIC Group's WMS gets smarter

Put away is the process of moving stock from the receiving bin location to the storage location or pick face location. Companies are looking for new put away strategies that go beyond simply "putting away" goods to a reserve storage location.

SBO4 PDA a Warehouse Management Solution for SAP Business One has introduced the feature of smart put away. Clicking on the 'Away' button will introduce a combo box which displays the top 5 bins suggesting to put the stock away. The user is also displayed the quantity on hand that is in each bin location and this lookup is in real time.

SBO4 PDA uses Plugin SQL or Plugin View which allows the system parameter to be custom for each SAP Business One site and for the customer to build their own put away business logic. The feature works with both platforms for SAP Business One SQL and HANA.

The screen shot below of the PDA device is where the user has scanned the item A00003 and it displays the top 5 bins of where the item already exists and could possibly need replenishment. This lookup is live. Currently the business logic will not display any receiving bin location and will only show pick or bulk bins. Also, it takes into the Maximum Qty which may be set against a bin location in SAP Business One. So the business rules set into SAP Business One can also apply to the SBO4 PDA warehouse management solution.

Automatic A/R Invoice

The latest release of SBO4 PDA for SAP Business One now includes the feature of Automatic generation of A/R Invoice. This works with both the SQL and HANA versions of SAP Business One.

The scan pick and process remains the same with SBO4 PDA, however, when the packing is completed on the PDA unit the delivery document is automatically created. We now have the feature available that once the delivery document is created, the A/R Invoice can be automatically created also.

SBO4 PDA drives efficiency and its level of integration with SAP Business One is far more than any other WMS on the market.
