MULTI-CLOUD Strategy29/11/2019 I have been saying for some time it is a multi-cloud world and most companies are starting to have multi-cloud deployments. Every cloud provider has its strengths and weaknesses. Different requirements means that you can match these with the cloud provider for the best possible solution.
When deploying our WMS it must be flexible as there are many environments it will be deployed too. Currently we have deployed it onto an AWS environment and it is part of a server farm, AWS cloud, Azure cloud, cloud hosting and on premises. Every environment is different and using the latest technologies ensures our WMS deployments are successful. Here is the Gartner article on multi-cloud strategy. Christmas office closure and support27/11/2019 The RIC Group offices will be closed from 5:00pm on Friday 20th December 2019 to 8.30am on Monday 6th January 2020.
During this time, we will have a skeleton crew covering the support and you can contact the Support Team via [email protected] or by +61 478 113 932. New features21/11/2019 With our best of breed Warehouse Management Solution one of the greatest features is the ability of our WMS to adapt to the customers environment. A common scenario we deploy our WMS too is customers with catch weight requirements. With catch weight the base unit of measure is normally Kilos or Pounds as this is how it is weighed and invoiced. With our latest catch weight customer using Acumatica the requirement is to capture the total weight for each lot for the item but also to capture the count of the cartons as well. With the below screen shot you can see the number of cartons in the RGWSCarton field. This allows the users of Acumatica to see the number of cartons for each lot number in stock. This helps ensure the FIFO method is used and also allows the sales and inventory team easy access to know the exact carton numbers in stock. It also allows for an average weight calculation. Another feature we have recently allowed for is a pick sheet to be printed. This prints once the order is picked and allows the packing process to go through a pick sheet to ensure the order is correctly picked. It also helps the customer sort the orders for the correct routes.
Number of lines4/11/2019 When completing Receipts for batch tracked items using our Warehouse Management Solution we have put in the ability to easily see the number of batches scanned or entered.
In the below screen shot you can easily see 4 batches have been captured for the same item in the Goods Receipt function of the WMS and on the right hand side is a column displaying # Lines 4. WMS update for Acumatica3/11/2019 If you are using The RIC Group's Warehouse Management Solution with Acumatica and integrating with other applications in this multi cloud world, it is always good to know the status of the Shipment. Our WMS updates the Acumatica Shipment to let the users know whether it is in pick in progress or pick completed.
The API for the WMS updates the Pick Status field in Acumatica. To know which stage of picking and packing the shipment is up to then you can view this in the Pick Pack Manager in the WMS. |
