Transport & Logistics with WMS27/6/2018 The RIC Group's WMS has the feature of Transport & Logistics which adheres to the GS-1 guidelines. This allows our customers to pack pallets into a shipment and consignment for Export orders.
Recording and monitoring the movement of logistic units is an essential part of supply chain management. Logistics labels help to track logistic units. Companies often need to label and re-label logistic units at each stop on the way of their destination. Customers will need the ability to print SSCC labels for the pallet which is the recommended logistic label. There are really two pallets which you can have which is the homogeneous pallet and mixed pallet. SSCC is a unique identification of a logistics unit. Value for the lifetime of that unit to only be used for material handling. For a Warehouse Management Solution to handle the requirement of export orders it will need to handle the pick and pack phase. Once the pack phase is completed the WMS will need to capture the container numbers each pallet is being packed into and then capture the Shipment number and also the consignment number. For one shipment there can be multiple containers. Shipment represents the end-to-end delivery of goods between supplier and customer. The Global Shipment Identification Number (GSIN) is a number that identifies a shipment and is assigned by the seller of goods. There is also a GINC standard as well. Our WMS allows the user to pack the pallets into a number of containers. With each container there is a different seal number as well.
