PostModern ERP9/12/2019 Here is a great blog post on Postmodern ERP and below are some key points from the blog post : http://bit.ly/2YsGpfE
Postmodern ERP is defined as the situation where companies abandon the traditional practice of using single, monolithic ERP platforms for several unique tasks and instead adopt a collection of individual standalone programs. In the past, ERP solutions were built comprehensively to offer business users a wide range of services under one collective umbrella. There is no doubt that cloud-based software and integration opportunity have promoted the change from "all-in-one" legacy systems to picking and choosing solutions where your business only pays for and implements the tools it needs. Flexibility is key and this is a big reason why enterprises are gravitating towards a postmodern ERP. With the availability of subscription pricing it does mean with with postmodern ERP software companies get exactly what they need instead of paying and reserving space for unnecessary functions. The RIC Group's WMS is a best of breed WMS and is loosely coupled with the ERP. The pricing is a subscription model and customers select which features they would like implemented. A key reason we have always used a loosely coupled approach as an ISV (Independent software vendor) is that our WMS and TMS solution offers real scalability and versatility. Putting a box solution in place, can always lead to growing pains down the road. Email our team at [email protected] for further information for our Warehouse Management Solution.
